Lighting Function Owner – Automotive

We are looking for a Lighting Function Owner to join our team for a key project with one of our major automotive clients.

In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for all lighting function topics —interior and exterior—across small series and production vehicles. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and validate lighting functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the key contact for all lighting function activities (interior & exterior).
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to define and negotiate functional requirements.
• Define and track Lighting Function KPIs .
• Analyze, manage, and resolve lighting-related functional issues.
• Support validation and testing activities for lighting functionalities.
• Contribute to the lighting function strategy and roadmap.
• Provide technical input for change requests, RFIs, and RFQs.
• Ensure quality and consistency of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automotive lighting systems (electronic focus).
• Proven experience in requirements definition, derivation, and management .
• Strong knowledge of automotive electronic architecture, CAN / LIN networks , OBD, and automotive ECUs (BCM).
• Experience with automotive validation and integration processes (vehicle testing, simulation, and test report analysis).
• Experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer , ODIS/Idex , oscilloscope , and multimeter .
• Good knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and MS Office .
• PCB design skills are a plus.
• Fluent English (mandatory); German or Italian is an asset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
