Life Actuarial & Planning Analyst
Role Overview
The resource will be integrated into the Group Valuation & Planning Office , receiving dedicated training within the team. The role focuses on actuarial valuations, financial planning, and strategic analysis for the Life and Welfare business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- ALM & Portfolio Management: Support Asset-Liability Management (ALM) for the Life portfolio and IBIPS business.
- Profit Testing: Conduct profit test analysis for IBIPS products.
- Reporting & Valuation: Perform Life and Welfare insurance portfolio analysis.
- Planning & Forecasting: Support the planning process by providing estimates for Forecasts, Year-end projections, and Multi-year Plans.
- Regulatory Frameworks: Manage valuations under LOCAL, ORSA-Solvency II, and IFRS17 standards for Life business.
- Strategic Support: Analyze portfolio value and provide valuations to support strategic business development decisions.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree in Economics (Finance/Insurance focus), Actuarial and Financial Statistics , or Mathematics .
- Experience: Previous experience in the Insurance sector (Actuarial, Finance, or Risk Management) gained within insurance companies, consultancy firms, or actuarial practices.
- Technical Skills:
- * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must).
- Knowledge of PowerBI is highly valued.
- Familiarity with stochastic valuation models such as IDSLife or Prophet .
- Languages: Good command of written and spoken English .
