Legal Counsel- Solar (F / H)

Founded in 2008, Photosol is a photovoltaic power producer specializing in large-scale ground-mounted power plants. Currently, the group has a portfolio of nearly 550 MWp in operation and under construction, consisting of about 60 plants, and a development portfolio of 3.7 GWp.

As part of its international growth, the Photosol group is establishing a structure in Italy to pursue ambitious and exciting solar projects. The Legal Counsel

• Solar (F / H) will support the development department and the Country Manager in the permitting process, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.

The position is available as soon as possible.

• LES MISSIONS

Within the Italian structure, reporting to the Country Manager, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for:

• Supporting the development of PV projects through permitting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws to achieve the ready-to-build status according to planned timelines. This includes active participation in project teams' daily activities, direct relationships with authorities, landowners, stakeholders, and support to the country manager and development team in project steering;
• Maintaining up-to-date land contracts and documents according to internal policies;
• Reviewing, drafting, and advising on land contracts and legal documents in general;
• In the acquisition process:
• Conducting legal checks on permitting and real estate topics of projects during pre-screening or due diligence, providing legally grounded opinions to support business decisions (either directly or by managing external consultants);
• Supporting the transaction team with input from the Country Manager and development team in drafting and reviewing transaction-related documents (such as LoIs, NBOs, BOs, SPAs, etc.), ensuring coordination between business needs and legal/risk management requirements;
• Monitoring relevant regulatory developments and reporting forecasted changes that could impact the business in terms of risks and opportunities. This involves participating in sector organization working groups on behalf of the company;
• Handling day-to-day operational legal inquiries from business units and departments.

PROFILE

• At least 5 years of experience in a legal department within the renewable energy sector, preferably in PV;
• Master’s degree in law;
• Adaptable mindset, good problem-solving skills, and ability to build relationships amidst changing conditions and diverse stakeholders;
• Fluent in Italian and English;
• Proficient with MS Office suite;
