Gross annual salary: €85,000-95,000, depending on education, experience, profile and type of contract + 10% MBO

As Italy & Spain Legal Counsel, you will be the main legal point of reference for management and business functions in Italy and Spain. You will provide legal advice to support business strategy, contract negotiation and relationships with customers, suppliers and partners. You will oversee local corporate governance and work closely with the business in managing and negotiating commercial agreements. As a member of the legal team, you will also contribute to shaping a flexible legal function, including through the preparation of contract templates, policies, processes and training materials.
Contracts : you will be the point of reference for drafting, reviewing and negotiating all types of contracts, from commercial agreements with customers to procurement and IT agreements with suppliers, as well as real estate contracts (leases, concessions of spaces for the placement of vending machines, sale of company-owned properties, etc.). You will play an active role at the negotiation table in support of the business’s commercial strategies and will manage the preparation and updating of standard contract templates for use by the various corporate functions.
Tenders and procurement : you will provide legal assistance across the various stages of public and private tenders, from reviewing documentation for participation purposes to managing the legal aspects related to contract award and execution.
Litigation : you will manage litigation in coordination with external law firms, as well as pre-litigation matters, with the support of external advisors where necessary.
Customer complaint management : you will manage customer complaints, liaising with the relevant business functions.
Labour support : you will support the HR department in managing employment litigation and trade union relations, where necessary.
Corporate matters : you will manage corporate affairs and corporate secretarial activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements in Italy and Spain.
Privacy : you will support the organisation on personal data protection matters, ensuring the local adoption of group policies and promoting training and awareness on these topics.
Compliance : you will manage corporate compliance matters, including the 231 Model and relations with the Supervisory Body.
Training : you will prepare and deliver legal training activities for colleagues across the different corporate functions, promoting awareness of legal risks and best practices.
Support to the QHSE team : you will provide legal assistance to the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment department on relevant matters.
Mandatory requirements
Degree in Law Proven previous legal experience (5+ years) gained in law firms and/or as in-house counsel in multinational and multi-site companies Experience in civil, corporate and commercial law, as well as basic knowledge of public law and personal data protection regulations (GDPR) Basic knowledge of labour law and employment litigation Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial, sales and procurement contracts Experience in selecting and managing day-to-day relationships with external advisors, with a focus on cost efficiency Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Excellent command of Italian, Spanish and English Optional or preferred requirements
Background in vending, food & beverage, collective catering, retail or fast-moving consumer goods sectors Experience in multi-site environments distributed across national and European territories Knowledge and use of innovative tools and AI tools in the legal field (e.g. Harvey) Technical and professional skills
Project management skills, with the ability to follow priority initiatives in a rapidly evolving business environment Strong team spirit and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders Excellent drafting and review skills for technical and legal documents Problem solving and results orientation Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Inclusion and accessibility
