Within theGroup General Counsel Function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the Group General Counsel Office & Group Regulatory Special Projects Unit.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting the management of the Group General Counsel’s ordinary activities, as identified from time to time by the Group General Counsel, including:
    • assisting in the drafting of various legal documents related to specific projects or topics
    • assisting in the collection of information from local Legal Teams on specific regulatory or organisational matters
    • supporting the Group General Counsel in cascading communications and guidelines to local Legal Teams
    • supporting the sharing of best practices with local Legal Teams on legal or regulatory topics
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex legal information, and conducting thorough legal and regulatory research on various topics—particularly in the insurance and financial sectors—to support the Group General Counsel and other senior legal staff
  • Drafting legal advice and memos summarising the results of legal research
  • Providing support and legal/regulatory advice relating to special Group regulatory projects, with a focus on the insurance sector, ensuring the timely and effective completion of tasks
  • Drafting regular reports for the Group General Counsel and Top Management on the progress of special Group regulatory projects
  • Supporting compliance efforts with national and international laws and regulations, and assisting in the development of internal policies and procedures
  • Supporting documentation management, including maintaining and organising a library of templates, historical legal files, and other relevant documentation

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Law (or Economics with focus on legal matters)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a financial institution, a law firm or international public organization
  • An experience in an international group/organization would be a plus
  • The candidate must be proficient in at least 2 languages, including English (any additional language would be considered a plus)
  • Curious, agile, ready to study new regulatory topics and adapt quickly to new work environments
  • Good knowledge of the Office package. Knowledge of how to apply AI tools to the legal activities would be considered a plus
