The Restaurant Brands International (RBI) Legal Department is recruiting a marketing lawyer to advise and manage marketing, advertising, and promotions for Restaurant Brands International Inc., the owner of the BURGER KING, TIM HORTONS and POPEYES brands and one of the largest quick-service restaurant companies in the world. The individual in this role is expected to facilitate the accomplishment of our business strategies and objectives while ensuring legal compliance and limiting RBI's exposure to risk.
This is a specialist lawyer role that provides support to the marketing teams for all our three brands in the entire EMEA and APAC region. The individual in this role will also work closely with outside counsel and counsel for agencies providing services to each brand.

- Qualifications & Skills
- Fully qualified attorney admitted to practice in Switzerland or an EU jurisdiction.
- Master of Law (LL.M.).
- 3-5 years of legal experience, law firm experience required.
- Excellent drafting skills and fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German will be considered an asset.
- Expertise in advertising law, including consumer protection regulations and statutes enforced by one or more countries within the European Union.
- Knowledge of IP law including trademarks, copyrights, domain names, trade secrets and patents.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts, build consensus and think creatively.
- Strong collaborative skills, including the ability to coordinate with RBI attorneys across the world, external counsel, business leaders and executives, business development colleagues, finance, accounting and tax partners and other advisors and to provide strong ethical leadership.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within teams and the skills to work across business functions and cultures with teams located in multiple time zones, as well as the ability to act independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and demonstrated ability to work under pressure with a high-volume workload and tight timelines.

- Ability to anticipate legal issues and risks, develop legal strategy and set objectives.
- Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate global marketing reviews for major campaigns including cross alignment with the US, EMEA and APAC marketing teams as well as the legal teams.
- Review and approve advertising and promotional materials for all media for legal compliance, including television, digital, radio, print, direct mail, mobile apps and social media.
- Manage legal affairs relating to the administration of RBI's ad funds and ensure compliance with the global marketing policy.
