About the Role

BMC Helix is looking for a talented Legal Counsel to join our expanding International legal team in Milan. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a leading technology company operating in a dynamic, international and forward-thinking environment.

As part of the International legal team, you will primarily support BMC Helix’s sales organization in Italy, while also assisting other territories as needed. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal communication skills, solid business acumen, and enthusiasm for working in a diverse, global and fast paced environment. You should be comfortable explaining legal concepts clearly and concisely to business partners and able to drive practical, timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiating all types of technology contracts, including SaaS, software licensing and support, and professional services agreements.
  • Partnering with internal BMC Helix stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Security, etc.) to ensure contracts comply with accounting rules, internal guidelines and BMC Helix global policies.
  • Providing timely, practical and business-oriented legal advice on regional or country-specific legal issues.
  • Supporting the corporate compliance programs, including educating regional employees.
  • Coordinating with outside counsel on region-specific matters and assisting with litigation management.
  • Leading or contributing to ad-hoc legal projects and process-improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Law degree from an Italian university and admission to the Italian bar (iscritto all’Albo degli Avvocati)
  • 2 to 3 years of qualified legal experience, ideally as an in-house counsel in an IT company and/or law firm experience
  • Commercial contract drafting experience and strong analytical skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English and Italian required. Spanish or French language skills are a clear plus
  • Experience working in a global or multi-jurisdictional environment is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to learn and grow on a daily basis, hands‑on mindset, and appetite for new challenges
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Salary Range

Minimum salary €44,250 – Maximum salary €73,750 (base salary). Other rewards may include a variable plan and country-specific benefits.
