LEGAL COUNSEL AND CONTRACTS MANAGER

Project / Program Overview

This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Rome office. We have measures in place to ensure the health and safety of our colleagues.

Under the general direction of the President / General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of various commercial areas, including:

• The pre-contractual phase of contract management
• Contract negotiations and development
• Claims management
• Execution and contract closeout activities
• Insurance management
• Management of internal Delegation of Authority policies

Additionally, general support on a variety of legal matters related to GDMS-Italy’s activities and operations is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Law, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar commercial services or contracts role
• Sound knowledge of international contracts law
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Defense, and/or Critical Infrastructures markets
• Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable conducting presentations and handling difficult conversations
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Ability to collaborate with different teams, especially business development and project management
• Proven interpersonal and team effectiveness skills, with a focus on improving the success of the commercial services team
• Experience in developing and implementing commercial or contractual policies and procedures (preferred)
• Business acumen to provide excellent customer service and support business decision-making

Must be able to work in Italy as an Italian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Compensation and Location

€49,000.00 - €50,000.00 per year
