Cosmo Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Legal Associate to support the Chief Legal Counsel in providing legal advice across the company’s global operations.
The role combines Business legal support, corporate matters and regulatory support within the life sciences sector, and requires a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal risk management. The Legal Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, R&D and Corporate functions and will also coordinate with external law firms when required.

The Legal Associate will contribute to this mission by working closely with the business and by supporting legal strategies that help create competitive advantage through early involvement in key initiatives and transactions.
The Legal Associate must consistently uphold integrity, accountability, and teamwork, contributing to a culture that reflects and reinforces these principles. The Legal Associate will have to demonstrate agility, personal ownership, and a collaborative, trust-based approach when partnering with colleagues across functions and geographies. The role reports directly to the Chief Legal Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership
- Act as a proactive legal partner to internal stakeholders, contributing to initiatives and transactions while supporting business growth and safeguarding Cosmo’s legal and reputational interests.
Commercial and Contractual Matters
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (including NDAs, consultancy, distribution, and service agreements), ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provide legal support to internal departments (Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and HR) and ensure contractual arrangements appropriately mitigate legal and business risks while supporting business objectives.
Corporate and Transactional Support
- Support corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, internal documentation, and corporate structure matters.
- Assist with strategic partnerships, licensing transactions and M&A activities, including legal due diligence and transaction documentation, while managing corporate records and legal documentation.
Regulatory and Compliance Support
- Provide legal support on pharmaceutical regulation and healthcare compliance, including reviewing company activities involving HCPs, HCOs, clinical partners, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures, and monitor regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes.
External Counsel Coordination
Coordinate relationships with external law firms and advisors, ensuring effective use of resources while maintaining quality and cost efficiency, in alignment with the Chief Legal Counsel.
Qualifications and Experience
Education : Law degree (LL.M. or equivalent);
Admission to the Bar ina European jurisdiction.
Professional Experience
5–7 years of legal experience within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and healthcare industry codes
Experience gained both in private practice and in-house is highly desirable.
Exposure to corporate law, licensing transactions or M&A activities is considered a strong plus.
Skills
Strong contract drafting, negotiation and legal analysis skills.
Ability to provide practical and business-oriented legal advice.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity and professional judgment.
Languages
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
