Hekanize is opening an RFI to identify an experienced freelance Lead Product Designer / Senior UX-UI Designer who can support us in the ongoing evolution of our SaaS platform and the product tools connected to it.
We are looking for a senior professional who can act as a strategic design partner, helping us improve the current user interface, strengthen the overall user experience, and support the future development of the product over time. This is not a purely visual design assignment. We are looking for someone able to understand complex workflows, business requirements, technical constraints, and product strategy, translating them into clear, scalable, and effective digital experiences.
About the Collaboration
The selected professional will work closely with our Product, Engineering, CEO, and CTO teams to support both the current evolution of the platform and future product initiatives. The collaboration may include:
UX/UI assessment of the existing platform. Definition of improvement priorities and design roadmap. Redesign and evolution of key product areas. Design of user journeys, interaction flows, and product experiences. Definition of scalable UI patterns for dashboards, widgets, configurable workspaces, and complex workflows. Creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces. Contribution to the evolution of our design system, UX principles, and interaction patterns. Support in simplifying complex business processes through better interface and interaction design. Collaboration with the development team during handoff, implementation, and product iterations. Continuous identification of usability issues and improvement opportunities. Responsibilities
Define a long-term UX/UI direction for the platform. Translate product vision and complex business needs into intuitive, scalable user experiences. Improve consistency across product areas and future developments. Design modular experiences based on reusable components and patterns. Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Challenge ideas constructively and contribute to product discussions. Bring recommendations, not only execution. Support the product team in making design decisions that can scale over time. Required Experience
This RFI is intended for experienced Product Designers / UX-UI Designers with a strong background in digital product design. We are particularly interested in professionals with: Proven experience designing complex digital products from concept to delivery. Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise software, business applications, mobile applications, or data-driven products. Strong understanding of UX methodologies, interaction design, information architecture, and product design processes. Experience designing dashboards, workflows, configurable interfaces, modular platforms, or complex back-office environments. Experience working on existing products, not only greenfield projects. Ability to design across mobile and desktop environments. Ability to work with technical teams and understand implementation constraints. Professional experience with modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite, or equivalent tools. A relevant portfolio with product design case studies is required. Professional working proficiency in English. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain design decisions. Ability to independently manage tasks, define priorities, and move initiatives forward. Availability for occasional workshops or strategic meetings at our office in Padua, Italy. What We Value
