We are looking for a Lead Internal Auditor
The Audit and Compliance (A&C) group is responsible for conducting energy, environmental, health & safety compliance audits.
Nice to have if the candidate owns also, ISO environmental, health and safety, and energy management system certifications to deal with the respective audits.
The role is based in Enlarged Europe, Turin, with travelling to other EU countries as well as to Middle East Africa, and Far East, for the execution of the audit plan.
The role does not foresee any direct resource management.
Regulatory compliance audits are conducted to confirm compliance with EH&S government laws / regulations and company requirements.
Management system audits are conducted to confirm compliance with ISO EEH&S international standards.
The resource should own a advanced / proficient English level (verbal and written), as most of the activities are handled in English (meetings and writing of the requested work papers, audit reports).
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing the operations of the business being audited and determining how environmental, energy, health&safety issues are being handled versus the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Gathering data on the business operations through on-site inspections, document reviews, staff interviews, and other methods.
- Check business records for governmental permits and requirements, relevant KPIs, maintenance, and inventory control measures.
- Review management systems, including applicable procedures and monitoring programs.
- Review employee training procedures and programs and the work environment for compliance with government and corporate standards.
- Write and compile final audit reports including results of the audit and recommendations for changes and improvement.
- Write all needed work papers supporting the outcome of the analyses performed during the audit.
- Cross-review of the work papers prepared by other auditors.
- Present the audit findings to the business managers and directors.
- Follow up at a future time to ensure improvements and recommendations have been successfully implemented.
- Periodic monitoring and verification of the declared status of the action plans derived from past audits.
- Periodic risk assessment, with potential interaction also with Sr Management of Stellantis (N-1, N-2, N-3 and, as deemed necessary, with below hierarchical levels).
- Proactive review of any regulatory aspect that should be taken into account for the effectiveness of the risk assessment and audit execution.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, communication skills (Italian, English and another language would be nice to have), and report writing abilities is needed.
It is helpful to have a working knowledge of environmental, energy, health & safety regulatory requirements, as well as the corresponding management systems standards such as ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001.
MS degree in an environmentally, health & safety related field (e.g. MS engineering) and/ OR (if owning a different bachelor’s degree) sound experience on the matters.
The desired candidate for the Environmental Energy Health and Safety (EHS) Lead Internal Auditor should have minimum 5 years’ experience in EHS internal audit / program management in manufacturing or industry equivalent.
Additionally the candidate should own a professional knowledge of the MS Office package.
Requested the standard driving license.
Approx 50% travel to domestic/ international facilities/ sites will be required
