Lead Counsel

Position: Legal & Compliance Manager

Location: between Lecco and Monza/Brianza

Our client is a leading manufacturing and distribution company in the agrifood sector , committed to delivering high-quality products. We are currently seeking a Legal & Compliance Manager to lead the function and ensure that our client operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The role offers 1 day per week of smart working

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and legal requirements

- Conduct regular audits to identify any potential compliance issues and develop strategies to address them

- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations and ensure that the company is in compliance with them

- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance and data protection matters

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that compliance is integrated into all business processes

- Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal and compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders

- Oversee the management of legal and compliance documentation, including contracts, policies , and procedures, 231 etc.

- Work closely with external legal counsel when necessary

- Monitor and report on compliance metrics to senior management

- Conduct investigations into any reported compliance violations and recommend corrective actions

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal or compliance role in structured companies

- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to contract manufacturing, such as FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Familiarity with contract review and negotiation

- Knowledge of risk management principles

- Experience working with cross-functional teams

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

The compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience; the position is offered at managerial level (quadro) and does not include a company car .
