The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in coating technologies such as painting and plating. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the definition of internal standards for coating processes.
As a Lead Coating Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Defining internal standards for coating processes (i.e. painting and plating).
- Qualifying external suppliers.
- Resolving non-conformities and deviations in coating processes.
- Supporting in ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as a coating specialist.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a MSc or PhD in Materials Engineering, Chemistry or similar.
- Have technical expertise on coating processes, particularly on painting and plating as well as corrosion, materials/coatings characterization and testing.
- Have an AMPP (certified coating inspector certification or equivalent).
- Have excellent communication and written skills in English.
- Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers.
- Be able to travel internationally.
- Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions.
- Have understanding of the Energy Industry and exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with company policies.
