The Launch Manager works in collaboration with various company departments, assisting the Project Manager, supporting him/her during the start‑up phase of new projects, managing operations, and ensuring the production department's readiness for the project's launch.

Main activities

  • Appointed at the Kick‑Off meeting as part of the project APQP team
  • Responsible for the project planning, in alignment with the PM
  • Participates in project APQP meetings, where:
    • Ensures the definition of prototypes (modeling), coordinated by the PM
    • Ensures production planning for the start‑up phases, in line with the PM's requests
    • Ensures the presence of pre‑series and series ILCs, created by Engineering under the PM's guidance
    • Ensures the implementation of Lessons Learned on all new projects during the APQP process
    • Develops new technologies together with the RID Manager and Engineering
    • Informs about the receipt of raw materials required for production ordered by the PM, in order to manage their progress in production
    • Informs about the type of product defined for the project
  • Ensures the presence of tools/equipment required for production, ordered and managed by Engineering
  • Ensures the readiness of the RDS/production schedule required for production (created by PM/Logistics) in terms of production, quality inspection, and shipping
  • Responsible for defining new layouts and refinement of workstations between the start‑p phase and series production, coordinating with the Engineering representative
  • Responsible for production support during the pre‑series phase

Education and Technical skills

  • Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of Office 365 package
  • Knowledge of English language
  • Knowledge of production processes for saddlery
  • Use of 2D graphic modeling software
  • Ability to statistically analyze data
