As our Land acquisition specialist in Rome, you'll be at the forefront of securing the sites that make the energy transition real - project by project, landowner by landowner.The Land acquisition specialist develops finds, secures, and manages land rights for solar (PV and Agri-PV), onshore wind, and battery storage systems. Key tasks include scouting of the sites, negotiating lease and or purchase agreements, and talking with property owners. The Land acquisition specialist travels to the different areas where projects are located, assesses the technical suitability of the land, and leads negotiations with landowners. You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with our development and legal teams.Your responsibilities:Negotiate lease or purchase agreements and other land control documents with management approvalDevelop comprehensive strategies for acquiring and leasing parcels required for project developmentPrepare commercial offers and negotiation details in coordination with Legal and Development teamsMaintain positive relationships with landowners and local project stakeholdersMaintain records of all land control instruments, supporting documentation, payments, and agreement deadlinesAssess site value and conduct due diligence to confirm eligibility for acquisitionScreen and prioritize sites against Italy's designated eligible areasSearch for and verify landowner contact information, ensuring correct assignment to corresponding plotsObtain and analyze title deeds from property registries and notaries;
review property boundaries for consistency with maps and actual land conditionsMonitor competitor land acquisition activity and market dynamics to support strategic siting decisionsYour profile:Degree in Law, Agricultural Sciences, Architecture, Geography, or related fieldMore than 5 years of professional experience in real estate development, land acquisition, or territorial planningFluency in Italian (native);
working knowledge of EnglishProven experience in land management and acquisition for renewable energy projects in ItalyKnowledge of GIS, Google Earth, cadastral documentation (visure, sister and mappe catastali) and Italian permitting frameworks (Autorizzazione Unica, VIA, PAUR, PAS, aree idonee)Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with diverse stakeholders, including landowners, community leaders and public authorities, to convey complex technical information both verbally and in writingClass B driver's license and availability for frequent business travelStrong negotiation skills and ability to influence external stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomesCross-functional collaboration and cultural sensitivity in working with internal and external teams from diverse backgroundsWe offer to you:Opportunity to work in an international environmentAn interesting range of tasks in a dynamically developing renewable energy industryOpportunities for personal and professional developmentA friendly and supportive working atmosphereMeal vouchersHybrid working options / possibility of home office
