The Metabolic Reprogramming in Solid Tumors Lab directed by Prof. Claudio Vernieri investigates how cancer cells rewire metabolism to sustain growth and adapt to stress.

We seek for our Institute: Laboratory Technician to join a 2–3 year in vivo research project funded through a Sponsored Research Agreement (SRA).

Project

The project will investigate metabolic adaptation across multiple tumor types, using murine tumor models to identify actionable metabolic dependencies.

A key objective is to translate fundamental discoveries into commercially viable solutions, with a long‑term vision aligned with potential business development and organizational growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vivo experiments in murine tumor models
• Assist in the management, monitoring, and experimental handling of animal cohorts
• Collaborate with postdoctoral researchers in data collection and experimental workflows
• Contribute to the execution of a translational research program

Required skills

• ≥2 years of experience with murine tumor models;
• Authorization for animal experimentation according to national regulations is a plus;
• Strong team-working attitude;

Language skills

Proficiency in English for speaking and writing - English is the working language at the Institute.

Educational experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related degree
