LABORATORIES OPERATION MANAGER

NEXTCHEM, a MAIRE Group company dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is looking for a dynamic and innovative Laboratories Operation Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will be involved in the start-up and operational management of the laboratories.
Under the coordination of the R&D Laboratories Manager, the candidate will be responsible for laboratory start-up activities, the development and fine-tuning of analytical methods, training staff responsible for test execution, scheduling maintenance, planning procurement, and defining operating conditions in line with the required safety procedures. These procedures will be reviewed regularly to continuously improve our standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Commissioning and start-up of laboratory equipment
- Development and fine-tuning of analytical methods
- Execution of research and development tests
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Definition of safe operating conditions for each piece of equipment
- Training of operators
- Management of safety audits in collaboration with the R&D Lab Manager and implementation of the necessary steps to ensure the highest level of safety and operational quality standards.
Required skills
- Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biological Sciences or Biotechnology
- Previous experience in managing laboratory operations
- Ability to interpret and draft manuals and procedures
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ability to conduct tests
- Problem solving
- Excellent command of English
- Proficiency with common IT tools
