KNITWEAR & JERSEY Assistant Designer

Purpose of the Position

Bally is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support the development of its Knitwear, Jersey, and Soft Accessories collections for both Menswear and Womenswear. The role involves close collaboration with the design team, contributing to research, design development, and technical processes to ensure that creativity, innovation, and precision are consistently reflected in our products. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a global luxury brand while actively participating to the creative and technical realization of collections.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support vintage research and contribute to the creation of moodboards for seasonal collections.
• Research yarns, stitches, and color palettes aligned with collection inputs.
• Develop sketches and renders (hand-drawn, Procreate, Illustrator).
• Assist in the preparation of technical sheets for suppliers.
• Participate in fittings and collection adjustments.

Experience:

• Degree in Knitwear or related fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an intern or assistant in knitwear design.
• Strong knowledge of knit stitches, garment construction, and pattern-making.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong freehand drawing skills and proficiency in Procreate, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
• Precision, punctuality, and efficiency.
• Fluent in English.
