KITCHEN STEWARD


Tenuta Toscana, a prestigious real estate project set in the scenic Tuscan countrysid, is seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Steward to join its dedicated culinary team.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to become part of a welcoming and supportive environment within a renowned luxury hospitality setting. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation, contributing directly to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Reporting directly to the Sous Chef, the Kitchen Steward will work closely with a friendly and professional team, with the possibility to develop new skills and grow within the company.



Main duties and responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage all dishwashing duties, ensuring crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are spotless and ready for use
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen workspaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
  • Support the kitchen team by keeping all kitchen equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
  • Dispose of waste responsibly, following recycling and waste reduction procedures to minimise environmental impact
  • Assist in the correct and efficient storage of deliveries, ensuring items are kept in appropriate conditions
  • Ensure compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in accordance with HACCP and Tenuta Toscana’s standards
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
  • Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and willingness to support team members, contributing to a positive work atmosphere
  • Uphold the values and high standards of Tenuta Toscana in every aspect of work
  • Participate actively in training and development opportunities to build skills and knowledge


Requirements

  • Previous experience (1–2 years preferred) in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment, ideally within luxury dining settings
  • Genuine interest in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
  • Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and proper waste disposal practices
  • Strong team player with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently under supervision
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and station maintenance
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Good command of Italian; conversational English is considered an advantage
  • Clean and professional appearance, aligned with the standards of a 5-star environment

This position is based in Tuscany. Availability of staff accommodation upon request. Candidates should have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy
