We are looking for a hands‑on, grounded Kitchen Manager / Lead Chef to join us for the wedding season at our castle in Tuscany.
This is not a fine‑dining or hotel‑style role. Our kitchen is about honest food, teamwork, calm leadership, and creating warm, meaningful experiences during three‑day wedding celebrations.
About the Role
You will lead the kitchen during our structured 3‑day wedding format:
- Pizza night (teaching guests in a relaxed way)
You will:
- Cook and lead during service
- Manage and support a small kitchen team
- Handle food orders and prep planning
- Track food waste and efficiency
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and calm
- Communicate clearly with events, bar, cleaning, and farm teams
The wedding menu already exists. You’re welcome to improve it — or continue with last season’s menu.
Who This Role Is For
This role suits chefs who:
- Enjoy being hands‑on in the kitchen
- Appreciate structure and clarity
- Value teamwork, communication, and calm working rhythms
- Are open to mindfulness, personal growth, and community living
- Like seasonal work with potential for long‑term collaboration
This Role May Not Be Right If
- You are looking for a high‑salary luxury or fine‑dining position
- You prefer large teams, formal hierarchies, or full creative control
- Teaching guests or working closely across departments doesn’t appeal to you
What We Offer
- Seasonal role at a unique Tuscan castle (with potential long‑term collaboration)
- 40 hours/week, two days off
- Accommodation can be provided
- Staff workshops focused on mindfulness, communication, and teamwork
Requirements
- Fluent English (Italian is a strong advantage)
- Valid EU passport or work visa; we are not able to assist with obtaining a work permit.
Final note:
We care more about fit, attitude, and presence than long CVs or prestigious titles.
If this way of working resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you
