We are Europe’s leading pooling company for plastic load carriers. Our service is to bring clean plastic returnable assets (pallets/foldable large containers/foldable crates) to our customers who send these assets all over Europe to their end customers. After every trip, these load carriers are being collected by us and brought to one of our European service centers where they are being prepared for a next trip. We manage hundreds of thousands of load carriers between more than 5,000 locations, mainly food related companies. Our Pan-European pooling service offers our B2B customers a sustainable and efficient solution throughout their whole supply chain.
To strengthen our Sales department within Tosca, we are currently recruiting a motivated and dedicated Key Account Manager (Italy).
Position Purpose
As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for the Upstream sales of our company. Researching the B2B market for opportunities mainly in the food industry and building long term relations with your customers is your main goal. You will function as an expert in order to understand your customers and help them achieve their supply chain needs. You will acquire a deep understanding of our service, calculate offers and negotiate contracts with your customers.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is willing to travel extensively within all Italy.
Your responsibilities
- By hunting new customers, you create a strong acceleration on the growth within Italy and you also need to maintain and grow a package of existing customers
- You proactively research the market for opportunities mainly in the food industry and build long-term relations with your (new) customers.
- You function as an expert in order to understand your customers and help them achieve their supply chain needs.
- You visit your prospects and customers regularly and support them to keep them aligned with their contract.
- You are responsible for the profitability of new and existing contracts which you will follow up with regular evaluations of contractual parameters.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
- A few years of sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably within logistics and supply chain.
- Strong communication skills and an excellent knowledge of Italian and English. Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
- A professional and strong personality with the power to influence, convince and connect.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while regularly checking in with your team.
- Very well organized and excellent time management skills.
- Motivated to understand and solve customer challenges as a part of a European team that makes a tangible difference in logistics.
