Job Overview

We are seeking a Juniper Certified Network Engineer to join our team in Milan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high‑performance network infrastructures, supporting network optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure using Juniper Networks technologies (MX, SRX, EX, QFX series).
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, and security policies in line with business requirements.
• Ensure network reliability, performance optimization, and redundancy through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to implement firewall, VPN, and network segmentation policies.
• Manage firmware updates, patching, and device lifecycle using Junos OS.
• Perform network diagnostics, root cause analysis, and resolve escalated issues.
• Participate in network design reviews, capacity planning, and documentation.
• Work with vendors and service providers for network upgrades and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise networking.
• Juniper certification required: Minimum JNCIA‑Junos; Preferred JNCIS / JNCIP (Enterprise, Security, or Service Provider track).
• Strong understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS, MPLS.
• Switching technologies: VLANs, STP, LACP, EVPN.
• Network security: SRX firewalls, VPNs, IPSec, NAT.
• Network management tools and monitoring systems (SNMP, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Experience with Junos Space, Network Director, or Mist AI is a plus.
• Knowledge of IPv6, QoS, and load balancing techniques.
• Experience in multi‑vendor environments (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (Italian language skills are a plus).
