Role description:
As a Junior Urban Regeneration Consultant , you will benefit from exposure to innovative urban regeneration and technical design projects. The role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills and experience within a leading consultancy, as well as mentoring and professional growth within a dynamic, high-level team.
You will be supported throughout your initial period, with the objective of gaining practical experience in urban regeneration and the application of advanced technical solutions for energy efficiency in industrial and tertiary sectors. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and planners to ensure effective project execution, and provide technical input to Arcadis’ business lines in the implementation of new initiatives and solutions.
Role accountabilities:

• Technical Design Support: Assist in the technical design and development of urban regeneration projects, including feasibility studies, master planning, and detailed design phases.
• Energy Efficiency Solutions: Contribute to the analysis and integration of energy-efficient technologies within urban redevelopment initiatives, with a focus on industrial and commercial buildings.
• Project Documentation: Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations to support project delivery and client communication.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and planners to ensure effective project execution.
• Business Line Support: Provide technical input to Arcadis’ business lines in the implementation of new initiatives and solutions.
  

More specifically, as a junior consultant, your work typically bridges technical drafting and strategic analysis:

• Design & Technical Execution: Developing preliminary and final designs, 3D models (using AutoCAD, Revit, or Rhino), and photorealistic renderings for client presentations.
• Urban Analysis: Conducting site assessments, data gathering for urban profiling, and creating GIS maps to inform spatial strategies.
• Regulatory Support: Assisting in the preparation of construction permits and ensuring projects comply with local zoning laws and urban regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Drafting reports for community workshops and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, sociologists, and environmentalists
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in urban design, architecture, environmental studies, sustainable development or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of working experience in architecture, urban planning, project management, social science or related fields is required.
• Fluency in English (B2/C1) required.
• Experience working on urban resilience.
• ability to define economic models;
• Excellent relationship skills and aptitude for teamwork.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Availability for business trips on the national / international territory
