Job Description
DXC Technology is looking for a Junior Software Developer to be trained and involved in our teams. You will receive specific training from day one on Full Stack technology, web programming, Spring framework, Database, and the opportunity to obtain a specific Scrum Foundation certification. After a short training period you will be involved in our applications and web development projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute unit tests to implement new or enhanced business and technical software solutions.
- Interact with project roles as required to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
- Use appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and technical problems.
- Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
- Develop applications using one of the following languages and processes: Java EE, Spring Framework, Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices (Docker), Design patterns, and architecture design; Database SQL and NoSQL; Software development processes (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).
Education and Skills
- Recent graduate in a technical field.
- Interest in web‑development tools for new applications.
- Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- Nice to have: Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile application development, DevOps, cloud‑based applications, and microservices architecture and patterns.
The ideal profile has strong analytics skills, problem solving, focus on results, decision‑making skills, and the ability to work in teams.
Work Location: Rome with remote work possibility.
