The Quality Assurance Officer will work as part of the integrated health, safety, environment, and quality team of SRS.
The Quality Control Officer will focus on ensuring and maintain robust quality policy, standards, manuals, programmes, systems, processes, and procedures and implements them to achieve desired Projects, Processes and Products outcomes.
The Quality Control Officer will report directly to the Head of QHSE and will also collaborate with colleagues across the SRS subsidiaries to deliver consistent ways of working, share best practice and provide direct support, where appropriate.
Main duties / Role and responsibilities
● Prepares and keep updated internal and external quality plans, quality control plans, quality manuals and procedures conformal to established internal and external standards and guidelines, with focus on ensuring rigorous compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
● Assists in process reviews for the continuous improvement.
● Takes care of the lifecycle of critical project documentation. Utilize data and metrics to monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing actionable improvements.
● Conducts internal and external audit, follow-up of audit findings and liaises with auditing groups through all stages of the audits.
● Acts as interface for external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring certification cycles and non-conformity management.
● Conducts internal and external inspections according to the Manufacturing/Construction Inspection Plan at the Factory/Site and follow-up of Non-Conformance.
● Prepares Inspection Reports and/or necessary documentation (e.g.: Non-Conformance, Corrective and Preventative Actions) for involved stakeholders, both internal and external.
● Facilitates uniform standards for the site and enables best practice sharing.
● Takes care of the quality documentation system.
● Provides and assists the Company in the implementation of quality-related continuous improvement opportunities (Lessons Learned).
● Helps drafting and updating emergency protocols and mitigation procedures.
Key Performance Indicators
● Timely management of key deliverables and tasks respecting deadlines with high quality output.
Attributes /Experience required
Education:
● Bachelor's degree (science on technical related field is preferred).
Languages:
● Fluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
Experience / Professional requirements:
● 2+ years of work experience in Quality in regulated industry.
● Experience with QMS.
● Document control system management (configuration management).
● Preferred Nuclear industry experience.
● RCC-M / ASME VIII and III code (Preferred).
● Ferrous Materials and their characteristics (Preferred).
● Production processes such as forging, welding, heat treatment (Preferred).
● Experience or formal certification in project management and process optimization frameworks, specifically Prince 2, Agile, or Six Sigma, is desirable.
