**THIS POSITION IS TO WORK ONBOARD
Reporting to the Administration Purser – Payroll and T&A, this position assists
with the overall payroll process and all financially related crew services. This
position involves a significant amount of time dealing with crew directly and
requires a strong customer-service focus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Administration Purser – Payroll & T&A with payroll processing, including calculating, verifying, and balancing all pay components.
- Validate gratuity and supplemental payment uploads, ensuring timely approvals and compliance.
- Assist with payroll audits and the administration of the timekeeping system.
- Manage crew receivables, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debt.
- Maintain crew office hours to assist with SeaPass, payroll, , collections, and foreign exchange inquiries.
- Handle and balance a daily cash float while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information.
- Provide support to HR by sharing relevant crew-related issues and maintaining accurate handover notes.
- Uphold safety, security, and regulatory standards; participate in required drills, training, and assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or vocational training required.
- At least 1 year of payroll or accounting experience in hospitality or finance preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of cash‑handling experience; understanding of US currency and exchange rates preferred.
- Strong administrative, analytical, and basic accounting/bookkeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with crew, guests, and management.
- Potential for growth into leadership roles.
- Proficient with office equipment and MS Office (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Intermediate Excel skills, including financial, math, and lookup functions.
Language Requirements:
- Must speak English clearly and confidently, including in front of groups of all sizes.
- Must read and write English fluently to interpret procedures and produce high‑level reports, documents, presentations, and written communication.
