Job Summary:
The Junior Legal Counsel - Italy will provide legal support from InterSystems’ Milan office for Italy and the European region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work out of the Milan Italy office
- Responsible for assisting the Legal Counsel with a variety of legal issues effecting InterSystems in Italy and the region, as assigned, which may include:
- Software licenses, order forms, solution agreements and other customer contracts
- Non-disclosure agreements
- Subcontracting and teaming agreements
- Consulting agreements with independent contractors and associated statements of work
- Vendor compliance with InterSystems’ policies
- Facilities matters
- Corporate maintenance in local jurisdictions
- Regulatory compliance
- Assist with responses to government tenders of healthcare technology through the lifecycle of a project, including contract changes and amendments
- Collaborate with the legal team in Italy, the region, and worldwide
- Ensure compliance with internal processes regarding pricing, approval, and other requirements
- Assist in ensuring compliance with external requirements, statutes and standards related to healthcare information technology, data protection, and other areas
- Assist in completing, filing, and sourcing ancillary documents for transactions, such as insurance certificates, tax certifications, and corporate registrations
- Perform special projects as requested
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Law
- At least 1-2 years of relevant legal experience highly preferred
- Experience with government procurements and public contracts, preferably in healthcare preferred
- Software or other high-tech experience preferred, healthcare experience a plus
- Experience with international contracts and legal issues a plus

- Ability to vary communication style to effectively communicate fluently in Italian and competently with English speakers

- Multiple language competencies are a plus
Travel within the region may be required and, occasionally, outside the region
