We are looking for a Junior IT Infrastructure Specialist with 1-3 years of experience, to join our IT team and support the administration, maintenance, and evolution of the company’s IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will report directly to the IT Director and will be supported by the current Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist, with the goal of progressively gaining operational autonomy and strengthening their technical skills.

The role will involve system administration, networking, user support, and day-to-day operations across on-premises and cloud environments, contributing to business continuity, system security, and compliance with applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the management and administration of Windows Server environments
  • Work on core infrastructure services such as:
  • Active Directory
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • NPS
  • Collaborate with the IT Director and the Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist in the management and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure
  • Provide support on activities related to:
  • IPv4 network addressing
  • connectivity troubleshooting
  • switching infrastructure management
  • firewall configuration and monitoring
  • Support the administration of the Microsoft 365 environment
  • Contribute to the management of storage systems and VMware virtual environments
  • Support the configuration, monitoring, and verification of backup execution through Veeam Backup & Restore
  • Provide technical support to users on infrastructure and system-related issues, and when required, also on more general IT matters
  • Contribute to cyber security initiatives, in line with security best practices, NIS2 requirements, and GxP policies applicable to the pharmaceutical sector
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Work with external vendors and technical partners when needed


Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Storage Engineer, or Data Center Administrator, particularly in Windows/VMware environments.
  • 1-3 years of experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam or similar).
  • 1-3 years of experience working with networking infrastructures, including firewalls
  • 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft 365 environments for licenses and permissions assignments, mailboxes and Teams phones configuration, Entra ID SAML for enterprise applications
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies for large-scale data management and scalable storage solutions
  • Experience managing HPC server based on GPUs
  • Experience managing cloud solutions (public, private, or hybrid cloud).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation methodologies.
  • Industry certifications in Linux, Infrastructure Management, Networking, or Cloud Computing.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark).

Physical Requirements:

Expected travel is 30%
