Junior IT Engineer – Banking Applications

We are looking for motivated and talented technical professionals to join a long term strategic project for a blue chip financial client in Italy.

You will work within a global team of experts located across different countries, supporting the treasury applications used in three separate national markets. Responsibilities:

As a Junior Application Maintenance developer , you will support the stability and performance of key treasury systems, working closely with senior engineers who will guide you in understanding how complex banking applications function in production. Your activities will include monitoring services, investigating incidents, contributing to problem resolution, and learning how to maintain critical financial platforms. This is a unique chance to build solid experience in application support while developing a strong foundation in IT operations and financial systems.

To succeed in this position, candidates must be fluent Italian speakers, as communication with local stakeholders is an essential part of the role. The job requires availability for on call support as part of a rotating global schedule, ensuring proper coverage for the countries supported. Intermediate English is also required.

A basic understanding of Linux shell scripting is required, as you will often interact with scripts and command line tools during issue investigations. Additionally, you should possess basic SQL knowledge, enabling you to perform simple queries and extract data when troubleshooting incidents.
