Almo Nature is seeking a motivated and curious Junior IT Automation Specialist to join our team in Genoa. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to transform concepts into practical solutions in a hands-on, supportive environment.
You will learn to develop tools, integrate systems, and enhance daily operations for teams across the company. In addition to general automation projects, this role will actively support the maintenance and modification of Almo Nature's global websites .
This is a user-facing position where you will learn to collaborate with colleagues, support senior professionals, and help implement practical solutions for real-world challenges. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Support: Assist in developing and maintaining automations and integrations, primarily using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Web Maintenance: Support the team with technical and content updates for our global corporate websites, working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, CMS).
- Troubleshooting: Provide first-level support for software and hardware issues, learning to troubleshoot and escalate effectively.
- User Engagement: Engage directly with users to understand their basic needs and help the senior team refine and improve workflows.
- Learn & Collaborate: Work closely alongside senior and remote engineers to support, maintain, and advance our infrastructure.
- Research: Research and explore new automation tools and technologies with guidance from the team.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Recent university graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, OR ~1 year of experience in an IT, automation, or scripting role.
- A strong, demonstrable desire to learn and a keen curiosity for how things function.
- Foundational understanding of scripting concepts (Python, JavaScript) and databases (SQL).
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Italian and English .
- Willingness and ability to work 100% on-site at our Genoa office.
Nice-to-Have (Highly Valued):
- Basic experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS) or any Content Management System (CMS).
- A personal or academic portfolio (e.g., GitHub) showcasing scripting projects or self-learning initiatives.
- A basic understanding of software and hardware architectures.
