Junior Industrial Controller/Business Analyst

Exide is looking for a Junior Industrial Controller/Business Analyst for the Italian plant. Reporting to the Senior Plant and Business Controller, his/her role is to carry out the day to day activities within the business to ensure the tasks are delivered accurately and on time. This includes getting all the Manufacturing and Financial information ready at any time, developing new management tools, getting information about changes that could impact in forecasts or KPIs and providing feedback on actuals, deviations, best practices and trends.

Main tasks:

• Ensuring monthly closing activities (P&L bridge versus budget and prior year);
• Preparing reporting and forecasting for the plant on a weekly or monthly basis, with accurate information and timely delivery;
• Preparing budget and monthly sales forecast, including sales variances analysis, sales margin and pricing review;
• Calculating product costs and monitoring correct accounting of expenses;
• Analyzing cost deviations coming from production issues (productivity, scrap…);
• Validating the Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma projects: cost analysis, savings and economic variability;
• Managing the stock take, both monthly cycle-counts and wall-to-wall at year end: scheduling, supervising the counting process, auditing the process, analyzing data;
• Answering and ensuring compliance of requirements in external & internal Audits.

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration, Management Engineering and/or Financial background;
• Nice to have: 2 years experience in Industrial Controlling;
• Fluent in Italian and in English, both spoken and written (minimum B2);
• Nice to have: a third language (either French or Spanish);
• Perfect command of MS Suite (strong Excel), HFM, BI & Data Warehousing;
• Good knowledge of further IT tools to manage and develop cost control reporting; knowledge of Oracle ERP highly appreciated;
• Strong analytical skills, proven ability in presenting and communicating data and results;
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams, goal orientation, proactivity.
