About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Hardware Engineer with a strong passion for audio-related electronics to join our team. In this role, you will be directly involved in the development, testing, and maintenance of electronic hardware. You will support the full hardware lifecycle — from component selection and procurement to PCB design, validation, and repair. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.
While we are open to full remote candidates if they are highly aligned and qualified, our preference is for candidates located near Florence, Italy , where our core hardware activities are based.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage technical procurement and purchasing (components, PCBAs, etc.)
- Support hardware development, including PCB design, measurements, and rework
- Conduct failure analysis of faulty PCBAs to identify root causes
- Perform repair and rework of faulty PCBAs with precision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong affinity with audio-related electronics
- Minimum 2 years of experience with electronics
- Minimum 1 year of experience with PCB design
- Proficiency in using electronics lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.) – 2+ years
- Excellent PCB reworking skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong organizational skills and experience with project management
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with KiCAD
- Familiarity with embedded firmware development
- Knowledge of GNU/Linux OS environments
