Novac is a deep-tech company developing next-generation pouch-format supercapacitors for automotive, aerospace, industrial, grid and intralogistics applications. As we expand globally and accelerate our R&D roadmap, we are looking for a motivated Grants & Project Manager to support our growth through international funded projects and strategic partnerships.
We are seeking a highly driven Grants & Project Manager with a strong technical background, preferably in materials science, electrical engineering, or related fields, to lead Novac’s activities in funded R&D programs. The role combines proposal writing, international collaboration building, and project management across EU, national, and international frameworks.
This is a strategic position at the intersection of technology development, fundraising, and external partnerships.
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities (EU, national, international, ESA, Horizon Europe, national calls, etc.).
- Represent Novac at international events, brokerage sessions, B2B meetings, and consortium-building initiatives worldwide.
- Build strong collaborations with research centers, universities, corporates, and industrial partners.
- Lead the writing and submission of proposals for R&D and innovation projects.
- Manage ongoing funded projects, including planning, milestones tracking, reporting of activities, and financial/expense monitoring.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, R&D, and administrative teams to ensure timely and compliant execution of all project obligations.
- Support strategic decisions related to technology development and market alignment within funded programs.
- MSc or PhD preferred in Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in grants, funded research programs, or project management roles.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Ability and readiness to travel worldwide for events, consortium meetings, and project-related activities.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Experience in batteries, supercapacitors, or energy-storage technologies.
- Additional languages beyond English.
- Previous involvement in Horizon Europe, ESA, EIC, national calls, regional innovation programs, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of industrial R&D processes and TRL-driven development.
