Job description
We are looking for an Operations and Data Analyst Intern to join us!
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our company's operations and supporting our data science team. Your primary responsibilities will include actively managing our company's operations, designing and formalizing operations processes, supporting data analysis, providing performance reports to clients, and managing clients’ projects related to new features or product variations.
Responsibilities:
Actively run the company's operations:
- Collect and process data from clients to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Clean and prepare data for the company's algorithms to generate accurate recommendations.
Manage client projects:
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements for new features or product variations.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Design and formalize operation processes:
- Develop standardized procedures and workflows for data collection, cleaning, and preparation.
- Identify opportunities for automation and work towards optimizing operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and refine operation processes.
Support DS team:
- Assist in data exploration, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
- Contribute to the development and validation of data models and algorithms.
Monthly performance reporting:
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports to clients.
- Analyze and interpret performance data to provide actionable recommendations.
- Communicate with clients to address any concerns or questions related to performance reports.
Impact the final products:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to shape the direction of the company's product portfolio.
Requirements
We're looking for applicants with:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. (An advanced degree – e.g., MsC - is a nice-to-have)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant information.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An ability to present complex theories and concepts to a non-technical audience.
Technical Experience:
- Excel: excellent level (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH...)
- Python: Basic knowledge (Pandas, Numpy, Sklearn)
- Power point: good level
- SQL: basic knowledge of querying, creating, and updating tables in a relational database
- Experience in non-relational database (nice-to-have)
- Workflow Automation tool like N8N or make.com (nice-to-have)
