Junior Data Analyst (Intern)

G-nous is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join its Bari office as part of the activities carried out for its client, the European Space Agency (ESA) .

The intern will be involved in business process analysis, data collection and processing, and the production of reports to support decision-making.

Activities

• Analysis of business processes and enterprise information systems
• Collection of user requirements
• Collection, analysis and visualization of business data using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI), definition of KPIs, and development of interactive reports
• Design and preparation of data models to support analysis and reporting
• Support in the validation and testing phases of implemented solutions
• Presentation of results to the client
• Drafting of operational manuals and project documentation

Requirements

• Undergraduate or recent graduate in STEM, Economics, or Statistics
• Proficient in English (minimum B2 level, both written and spoken)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong teamwork skills, problem-solving attitude and analytical mindset
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask and results-oriented approach
• Legal residency in Italy

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Good working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Experience or training in data cleansing and data modelling
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
