Junior Data Analyst (Intern)

G-nous is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join its Bari office as part of the activities carried out for its client, the European Space Agency (ESA).

The intern will collaborate on data collection , analysis , and visualization , contributing to the development of analytical models and automated solutions that drive efficiency and data-informed decision-making. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis.

Activities

• Analysis of business processes and related information systems
• Collection of user requirements
• Collection, organization, and cleaning of data from different sources
• Development of interactive dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Design and preparation of data models to support analysis and reporting
• Support in the definition and monitoring of KPIs
• Automation of analyses and reporting using data science tools and scripts (e.g., Python, R, Power Automate)
• Support in testing and validation activities of implemented solutions
• Preparation of project documentation, operational manuals, and presentation materials
• Presentation of results to the client

Requirements

• Undergraduate or recent graduate in STEM disciplines or Statistics
• Proficient in English (minimum B2 level, both written and spoken)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Interest in data analysis, data visualization, and data science
• Strong teamwork skills, problem-solving attitude and analytical mindset
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask and results-oriented approach
• Legal residency in Italy

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation
• Understanding of data cleansing, pre processing and data modelling
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
