As a Junior Construction Economist / Cost Engineer , your role will be to support the Senior Construction Cost Engineer in the following missions:

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing project cost estimates , from the Feasibility phase through more advanced stages (Concept Design, Detailed Design, Technical Design).
  • Ensure client satisfaction by respecting the project’s allocated budget, relying on key skills that you will progressively develop during your apprenticeship (cost estimating, reporting, accurate financial forecasting and benchmarking).
  • Provide support for feasibility studies , supplier price requests , and coordination with other project stakeholders.
  • Advise on the different tendering strategies and procurement methods .
  • Prepare tender documentation (DCE) , analyse bids, and draft recommendations (ACT phase ).
  • Act as a key point of contact for the client and all project stakeholders throughout every phase of the project.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager , keeping them informed at each stage of the project.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate from an engineering, construction economics, or construction‑related degree.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in project financial management, related tools, and the construction sector as a whole.
  • Flexible, autonomous, eager to learn, approachable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong numerical aptitude with an interest in budget management.
  • Bilingual in Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong written communication skills, able to produce reports in both languages.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools.
