Junior Business Development Manager

Alberami | Regenerative Farming · Torino, Italia, Italia ·

Descrizione dell'offerta

THE MISSION

Alberami operates Italy's first ICROA-endorsed agricultural carbon credit project — 650+ farmers, 20,000+ hectares of Mediterranean crops, and a BeZero 'BBB' rating that puts our credits among the highest-quality Nature-Based Solutions in the voluntary market. We are past proof-of-concept. We are scaling.

To scale, we need to build a commercial team that combines senior strategic firepower with disciplined, hungry execution. This is where you come in.

THE ROLE

This is not a purely supporting role, and it is not a fully autonomous one — it is the right balance for someone with 2+ years of commercial experience who is ready to own real targets while learning how high-value carbon deals are actually structured.

You will work alongside the Senior BD Manager and report to the Chief Strategy Officer. You will run your own outbound prospecting and early-stage pipeline, support the senior team on complex account mapping, and develop the thought leadership presence that makes Alberami visible in the market. The goal is that within 12–18 months, you operate independently on mid-market accounts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Prospecting & Outbound Execution. You will own a segment of the target account list, running structured outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn, and industry events. Volume and discipline matter — but so does relevance. Generic outreach will not represent us.

Account Research & Mapping. For priority accounts, you will build the intelligence layer: who is in the buying committee, what sustainability commitments they have made publicly, and where their Scope 3 exposure is highest. This feeds directly into the senior team's strategy.

Early-Stage Discovery. You will conduct initial discovery calls, qualifying prospects against our criteria and identifying the right entry point before handing off to the Senior BD or CSO for commercial structuring.

Content & Thought Leadership Support. You will contribute to and promote Alberami's market presence — drafting LinkedIn content, supporting case study development, and amplifying the senior team's thought leadership. Over time, you will develop your own voice.

CRM & Pipeline Hygiene. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of your pipeline. Forecasting and accountability start here.

WHO YOU ARE

2+ years of commercial experience. In voluntary carbon markets, environmental commodities, sustainability consultancy, or a relevant B2B sector with long sales cycles. You have done more than send emails — you have had real conversations with real buyers.

Climate literate from day one. You already understand the basics of GHG Protocol, Scope 3, SBTi, and why BVCM matters to a corporate sustainability team. We will deepen your knowledge — we will not start from scratch.

Organised and relentless. You run a clean pipeline, follow up without being asked, and do not let good prospects go cold because of poor process.

Curious about the buying process. You want to understand not just who to contact, but why they would care, what their internal blockers are, and how decisions get made inside large organisations.

A communicator. Written and verbal. You can draft a compelling outreach message, represent Alberami credibly on a discovery call, and contribute to content that adds value rather than noise.

Linguistically versatile. Fluent in English. Italian and/or Spanish is a meaningful advantage.

EU work-authorised. Bachelor's degree minimum. Right to work in the European Union is essential.

HOW WE WORK

The role is fully remote. We expect periodic in-person alignment sessions at our headquarters in Ostuni (Puglia) — typically once per quarter — and occasional travel for key meetings or industry events. We trust you to manage your time;
we measure you on outcomes.

COMPENSATION

Base salary: RAL €40,000–€50,000, commensurate with experience. Variable component structured around pipeline activity and closings, negotiated at offer stage. As the commercial team grows, so does the opportunity.

WHY THIS ROLE

Real exposure, fast. You will work directly alongside senior commercial and strategic leadership — not inside a large sales team where junior hires spend two years doing data entry.

The product is real. A BeZero 'BBB' rating, ICROA endorsement, and an active second issuance. You are not selling a concept.

The market timing is right. BVCM guidance from SBTi, growing CRCF regulatory pull in Europe, and corporate Scope 3 pressure are converging. There is no better moment to build expertise in high-integrity carbon markets.

The impact compounds. Every deal you support funds the regeneration of Mediterranean soil and the livelihoods of the farmers who manage it.
