Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic and growing international team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in accounting within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

As an Accountant, you will work closely with the Italian Accounting Lead, supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all financial processes. You will gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting tasks, while contributing to the efficiency and continuous improvement of our financial workflows. This position also offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, giving you valuable insight into the broader business and exposure to international accounting standards and practices.

Your job

• Responsibilities
• Processing and booking of sales invoices and credit notes
• Verification of VAT on sales invoices
• Monitoring of customer balances and management of payment reminders (from first reminder to formal notice, including follow-up with lawyers)
• Intercompany re-invoicing and daily intercompany bookings with the assistance of the account lead
• Support in monthly closing activities, including hard close and year-end closing, alongside the account lead
• Support in the re-invoicing of quarterly commissions together with the account lead
• Handling of the accounting mailbox
• Regular contact with the sales team

Requirements

• 1-2 years of previous experience in Italian accounting
• Fluent in Italian (C2) and English (C1)
• Understanding of Italian tax regulations
• At least a bachelor’s degree
• Highly organized, with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively

Nice to have

• Good command of Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Team spirit and willingness to learn in an international environment
• Previous exposure to month-end and year-end closing activities
