Job Description:

GFIC is searching for an International Food Ingredients Company with a global network of plants, sales offices, and R&D centers. The position is for an Italian Operations Manager Food Ingredients .

You will be responsible for overseeing planning, production, maintenance, engineering, and logistics activities.

• Manage external relations with technical consulting firms and Italian ministerial technical offices.
• The related sites are located in Italy.
• Appointed Delegate by the employer for Safety, Health, and Environment at the two Italian sites (Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008).

Location: Northern Italy, onsite

• Language skills: Fluent in Italian and English.
• This role involves traveling to oversee some European plants.

Tasks

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and coordinate plant and supply chain operations within company policies.
• Responsible for achieving plant production goals.
• Establish and maintain positive community relationships.
• Foster a trained and motivated staff.
• Conduct employee performance reviews.
• Schedule and lead plant meetings.
• Ensure product quality control.
• Participate in corporate training and meetings.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Extensive manufacturing knowledge in the food industry.
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Ability to build and motivate teams.
• Experience with technologies like drying, extraction, and mixing.
• Experience in B2B with multiple SKUs.
• Knowledge of Batch & Continuous Production.
