Italy Country Manager – Canva

Overview

Canva’s International Team is a diverse & distributed team of content specialists, marketers and growth teams who drive user growth, brand awareness, and affinity in our key international markets. As the Italy Country Manager, you’ll partner closely with leads across the International Supergroup to build and implement a comprehensive multi-year strategy for user and revenue growth goals in Italy. You will work with local, regional and central teams including Marketing, Growth, Product, Partnerships, Content, SEO, Education, Community, Sales, NFP, PR, Finance & Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Growth hacking: act like a founder, spotting and executing growth opportunities through curiosity, data analysis, and Canva’s growth strategies.
  • Result oriented, inspiring leadership: lead overall user and revenue growth, bringing together marketing, sales, product, content and finance teams to execute a multi-year strategy and own KPIs including MAUs and ARR.
  • Localization: collaborate with the regional team to adapt product, content, pricing and packaging, guided by user obsession and market insight.
  • Team building: hire, inspire, drive and coach the in-market team with a high performance culture.
  • Fast and decisive leadership: act with urgency, leveraging resources and competing against time.
  • Budget ownership: partner with stakeholders to maximize impact through frugality and a founder mentality.
  • Education and enterprise sponsorship: build relationships for enterprise sales, education, government, partnerships, etc.
  • Public face: represent Canva across press, PR, events and community.

Qualifications

  • Strongly entrepreneurial: appetite for scaling a business from a small start across B2C, education, press, etc.
  • Relentless problem solver: persistently navigate challenges with resourcefulness.
  • User obsessed: deep insight into user motivations, barriers, and opportunities.
  • Experience building a market, e.g., as a regional GM or proven founder/growth lead.
  • Team builder: grow, inspire, and coach high‑performing teams with emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Strong communicator: fluent in spoken and written English and capable of influencing stakeholders.
  • Analytical: keen focus on KPIs and driving actionable insights from data.
  • Product oriented: translate insights into product requirements to improve user experience.
  • Values aligned: genuine excitement for Canva’s mission and alignment with values.
  • Publicity savvy: experience public speaking and acting as a public face.
