Role Description

This is a contract remote role for an Italian Language Specialist. The Italian Language Specialist will be responsible for providing accurate translations, writing and editing content in Italian, and delivering high-quality language services to meet client needs. Daily tasks include interpreting content, ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy, and maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.

• Lead quality assurance (QA) for Italian language outputs (text, conversations, instructions)
• Design and develop linguistic assessments and training modules for agents
• Train and mentor agents to ensure consistent, high-quality, scalable output
• Evaluate and refine AI/agent-generated responses for accuracy, tone, fluency, and cultural nuance
• Define and enforce language guidelines, style guides, and evaluation frameworks
• Identify linguistic edge cases and drive continuous improvement through structured feedback loops

• Native or near-native fluency in Italian + strong proficiency in English
• 3+ years of experience in linguistics, translation, localization, or language QA
• Proven experience in:
• Training or managing linguists / annotators
• Quality evaluation and content review
• Creating assessments or linguistic frameworks
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, semantics, and cultural nuance
• Experience with AI/LLM evaluation, data annotation, or content QA is a strong plus
