Procurement Specialist / Buyer

Our Client, international holding active in real estate investment & development, is rapidly expanding its operations in Italy and is seeking a

/ Milan-based /

The Buyer will join the newly established Italian Procurement function and will provide operational purchasing support across both Construction activities and the ongoing management of the real estate portfolio through Property & Facility Management.

The role will focus on the day-to-day execution of the procurement process, including supplier sourcing, RFQs, tendering, bid comparison, negotiations, preparation of purchase orders and contracts, and follow-up of purchased goods and services.

The Buyer will report directly to the Procurement Manager, Head of the function.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day sourcing and procurement activities;

Identify and source new suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and service providers;

Prepare and issue RFQs and tender documentation;

Collect, structure and compare technical and commercial bids;

Support tender processes for construction works, materials and services;

Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply conditions;

Support the preparation of purchase orders, contracts and procurement documentation;

Manage purchase requests from the Construction, Property Management and Facility Management teams;

Work closely with Project Managers on individual work packages and service packages;

Monitor deadlines, purchase orders, deliveries and the progress of contracted services;

Maintain procurement databases, vendor lists and supplier documentation;

Monitor supplier performance and support supplier evaluation processes;

Support the Procurement Manager with cost analysis, benchmarking and cost-saving initiatives;

Contribute to the development of long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and business partners.

Requirements:

Previous experience in an operational Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing role, preferably within Construction, Real Estate or the wider Built Environment;

Experience with RFQs, tendering and commercial bid comparison;

Understanding of construction processes and/or technical services related to property operations;

Experience working with suppliers, contractors and service providers;

Ability to prepare and manage procurement and contractual documentation;

Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel;

Professional working proficiency in English.
