Position Overview

Space Industries S.p.A. is looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to join its IT team.

The role focuses on the administration, security hardening, and resilience of on-premise, virtualized, and cloud-based infrastructures, within a high-security and compliance-driven environment (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring system security, operational continuity, and audit readiness, working closely with internal stakeholders and security functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure configuration, hardening, and maintenance of Windows, Linux, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments, in line with industry security standards
• Patch management and vulnerability remediation, including assessments, mitigation actions, and documentation of security controls
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) with least-privilege principles, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and Azure Active Directory federation
• Security monitoring and incident response support, integrating SIEM, EDR/XDR, centralized logging, and forensic-ready audit trails
• Compliance and data protection activities aligned with GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIS2, including audit support and security documentation
• Backup, disaster recovery, and resilience management, validating RTO/RPO and supporting Infrastructure as Code practices
• Continuous security improvement, threat monitoring, proactive risk reduction, and participation in security awareness initiatives

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-6 years of experience as a System Administrator / IT Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with virtualized and cloud environments
• Solid background in IT security, system hardening, and compliance
• Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, IAM, SSO, and MFA
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, logging, and audit processes
• Fluent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
• Driving license and own vehicle
