IT Support Specialist
to join our global IT team, with a primary focus on business applications, particularly ERP, WMS, and CRM systems. The role centers on supporting, analyzing, and improving application-related processes, ensuring efficient and effective use of core business software across the organization.
The candidate will manage first and second-level support tickets mainly related to enterprise applications, working closely with users to understand their needs, analyze requirements, and contribute to solution evaluation in collaboration with the Italian IT team.
While the role includes some exposure to end-user and infrastructure-related support, these activities will be secondary and limited compared to the application-focused responsibilities. The candidate will primarily provide remote support while maintaining close coordination with the IT team in Italy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage first and second-level support tickets primarily for ERP, WMS, and CRM applications.
- Act as a key point of contact for business application support, ensuring high-quality user assistance and issue resolution.
- Analyze user requests and business processes, translating them into functional requirements.
- Collaborate with the IT team in Italy to review, validate, and implement application-related solutions.
- Support testing activities, system improvements, and application enhancements.
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation related to business applications.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of incidents and service requests.
- Support IT projects, particularly those related to ERP and business applications.
- Ensure compliance with company IT standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide basic end-user support (PC setup, configuration, troubleshooting) when required.
- Handle infrastructure-related tickets (network, printers, connectivity) on a limited and secondary basis.
- Availability to travel between the United States and Italy based on workload and project requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on business applications.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS, and CRM systems; knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle database or SQL language.
- Good understanding of application support processes and business workflows.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and familiarity with ITIL best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken).
- Flexibility to travel internationally and work across different time zones when required.
