As an IT Support Engineer I, you will use your knowledge and specialized skills to implement technical solutions and provide high quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, or enterprise application software across sites in a defined geographical area. You are able to determine when it is appropriate to deviate from a standard practice to accomplish the desired result. You can troubleshoot and solve straightforward problems that do not have defined SOPs.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments.
- Ensuring infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Interacting with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Managing local technical projects.
- Maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identifying root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Moving up to 49 lbs and standing and walking during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Supporting customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Traveling within your local or regional area to support our customers.
Basic Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- 2+ years of industry work experience.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience.
- 1+ year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- Fluent in Cisco/networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines or end‑to‑end project management experience.
- Experience communicating technical details verbally and in writing.
- Industry relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware installation, AWS.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,700 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
