The Local IT Specialist ensures operational continuity and high-quality IT support for Manutan subsidiaries in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, acting as the primary local interface with Group IT. The role guarantees compliance with corporate standards, manages hardware and software assets, and supports the deployment of Group IT projects (e.g., Intune, Windows upgrades). This position is key to maintaining user satisfaction, security awareness, and infrastructure reliability across the South region.
Major responsibilities (what should Jobholder delivers)
- Manage local IT tickets assigned via ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and escalation only when physical intervention is required.
- Provide technical support for hardware and software (laptops, docking stations, headsets, printers).
- Maintain and update asset inventory; handle warranty/RMA processes and supplier interactions.
- Support local technical room (servers, switches, UPS) and coordinate with Group IT for infrastructure changes.
- Administer printer access rights and remote configurations.
- Prepare first-login credentials and configure devices for new hires; ensure proper imaging and formatting standards.
- Promote IT security awareness and verify compliance of third-party applications before installation.
- Participate in Group IT projects (Intune rollout, Windows 11 upgrades, CMS updates) and execute local tasks.
- Plan laptop replacements and manage rental contract lifecycle (20 PCs expiring end of 2026).
- Provide support for video conferencing equipment and telecom systems (Avaya).
- Deliver short training sessions on Manutan tools to end-users.

- Maintain SLA for local IT tickets (resolution time, first-contact closure rate).
- Ensure 100% compliance of devices with Intune and security policies.
- Keep asset inventory accurate and up-to-date monthly.
- Implement a proactive laptop replacement plan before rental contract expiration.
- Conduct quarterly IT security awareness sessions.

Experience, background and training
