We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position :
Specialty Business Division (SBD)
THE POSITION :
To be a therapeutic area Cardiovascular scientific expert, responsible for discussing our products, patients’ treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic areas in which we are involved, on a peer-to-peer basis with a defined audience of Key External Experts (KEEs) and to be considered a trusted scientific counterpart and partner.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Function as the primary point of contact in the field for Daiichi-Sankyo Medical Affairs
- Communicate the Scientific value of company products, to internal and external stakeholders
- Through scientific interactions, champion the medical value of our products fairly based on the risk-benefit profile of our drugs and contribute to the fostering of innovative approaches
- Develop and execute an external stakeholder engagement plan
- Respond to unsolicited scientific queries from customers for approved products and products / indications in development, based on Medical Affairs and Medical Information documents
- Support and manage Medical Affairs clinical activities strategy, planning, design and execution (in close co-operation with HQ and CROs)
- Use digital technologies and new media to support proactive and reactive communication
- Represent DS at medical meetings, conferences, advisory boards, etc at key institutions, and in interactions with key external experts
- Contribute the pre-launch and launch steps of new products providing scientific support
- Support medical affairs activities and generation and dissemination of data
- Ensure compliance requirements are factored into programs' scientific activities
- Express attitude to work in a cross functional team
- Area of activity - for Lombardia : Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona, Lodi, Mantova e Pavia; Friuli-Venezia Giulia : entire territory.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced degree (e.g. Pha rmD., MD, Ph D) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but candidates with a scientific degree and demonstrated experience will be considered
- Experience as MSL or other roles in Medical Affairs or R&D is preferred
- Experience in the cardiovascular therapeutic area is preferred
- Ability to quickly and accurately learn, retain and present detailed scientific information
- Strongly preferred an in-depth understanding of MSLs role and acitivities
- Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good skill in presenting, communicating and facilitating discussions with small and large groups in an engaging manner
- Ability to relate and work with a wide range of people to achieve results
- Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and priorities
- Must possess very good oral and written English communication skills.
- Field based within the area of activity or available to relocate
- Ability to work independently
