Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall management and operational efficiency of the hardware logistics center, ensuring timely and accurate staging, configuration, and shipment of IT assets (primarily laptops, desktops, and peripherals).

This role oversees daily operations, manages staff, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with customer SLAs, and continuously drives process improvements in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations of the hardware logistics center, including receiving, staging (via SCCM or other tools), quality control, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure all equipment is staged, configured, and shipped according to client specifications, timelines, and SLAs.
  • Oversee coordination with IT deployment teams for imaging and configuration workflows.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow that balances throughput, quality, and cost.

People Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary logistics team (technicians, QC specialists, and shipping clerks).
  • Schedule staff, manage workloads, and ensure adequate coverage for daily targets (e.g., 150–200 devices/day).
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Asset Control

  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and stock reconciliation.
  • Maintain asset records in internal systems and ensure proper tagging and traceability.
  • Manage defective or returned hardware, coordinating with vendors or service teams for resolution.

Process & Quality Improvement

  • Monitor performance metrics (throughput, accuracy, SLA adherence, returns).
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, automation).
  • Collaborate with engineering and digital workplace teams to optimize imaging and deployment efficiency.

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for customer delivery managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and improvement actions.
  • Support audits and compliance checks (ISO, ITIL, or customer‑specific standards).

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and data security requirements.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work environment.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or IT asset management operations; at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of asset management.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware lifecycle management (receiving, imaging, shipping, RMA).
  • Experience with SCCM / Intune / MDM workflows for staging and configuration.
  • Proficient in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Excel/Power BI for reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (and local language, if applicable).
