Are you driven by optimizing end‑to‑end finance processes and accelerating automation, digitalization, and intelligent technologies in a global SAP environment? We are looking for an experienced IT Business Consultant in SAP Finance (FI) & Controlling (CO) to lead solution design, consulting, and delivery of standardized and compliant finance processes. The role blends deep SAP expertise with a strong focus on automation, workflow optimization, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control across finance operations.
Location: Pinerolo, Italy – Remote. The position follows a hybrid work model when based at an FST Italy site. Remote work may be considered for locations not in close proximity to an FST Italy site.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design target finance processes in collaboration with global Process Owners, Finance Shared Services, and local Finance teams, defining the SAP FI/CO solution and automation roadmap.
- Lead Fit‑to‑Standard / Fit‑Gap workshops, identifying automation opportunities across core end‑to‑end finance and controlling processes (Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Purchase‑to‑Pay, Controlling).
- Own SAP Finance (FI) & Controlling (CO) solution design and configuration, ensuring effective integration with adjacent SAP modules and external platforms.
- Drive automation and digital finance initiatives, leveraging workflow tools, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), OCR/e‑invoicing, reconciliation automation, and AI/ML‑based use cases.
- Manage projects and workstreams end‑to‑end, coordinating IT teams, external partners, and system integrators.
- Ensure testing excellence and deployment readiness, leading SIT/UAT, cutover, go‑live, and hyper‑care with a strong focus on stability, controls, and audit compliance.
- Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement, while mentoring team members and contributing to global templates, standards, and innovation topics.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. SAP certifications and project management credentials are advantageous.
- Experience: 10–15 years of professional experience in SAP Finance & Controlling with multiple end‑to‑end project lifecycles, ideally including S/4HANA transformations.
- Automation & Innovation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading finance automation and digitalization initiatives, with hands‑on exposure to workflow orchestration, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), e‑invoicing, reconciliation automation, closing acceleration, and touchless processing.
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Expertise: Familiarity with AI‑ and ML‑driven finance use cases such as predictive accounting, anomaly detection, intelligent matching, forecasting, and exception handling.
- Process & Controls Knowledge: Deep understanding of finance and controlling processes, supported by a strong internal controls and compliance mindset.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management and consulting‑grade communication skills, with confident interaction at senior business and IT levels.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; Italian highly desirable. Additional European languages are a plus.
